Book Character Day
On Thursday we had Book Character Day at school. We dressed up as our favourite book character. We went to the hall and each class went to the front and did a little parade in front of all the other classes. It was lots of fun.
Growing Seeds
Wow! Our Greenhouses are growing so quickly.
We can see the roots and shoots. We know that the roots grow down and the shoots grow up.
Our New World Little Gardens have sprouted really quickly too. We all planted 2 plants. Some plants are just popping up now, but some are quite tall already.
We have been collecting some different seeds. We want to see if they will sprout. We will have to keep watching to see if they do. We have corn, watermelon, apple, tomato, lettuce, pumpkin, sunflower and cucumber.

Growing Beans
We are learning about seeds and growing plants at school.
Today we asked the question: Do plants need soil to grow?
We decided to plant some bean seeds into plastic bags.
First we put some damp cotton balls into the bag and then we dropped in 2 bean seeds.
Here we are getting them ready.
Tomorrow we will take photos of them hanging in the windows for some heat and light.
We wonder what will happen next!
